Well hello there!
How was your Christmas? Mine was long. It started on around Dec 12th and isn't over yet. UGH. Kids loved all their gifts. The big ones were Claire got a new DS, so she doesn't have to share with her sister anymore. Lydia got Cooking Mama for the Wii and a Hannah Montana styling head. They got tons of other stuff too. The tree looked like it had thrown up gifts, it was sick how much they got. They also got the swing set. My big gift was a new cell phone. I got the new iPhone G3, it's freaking awesome! The water main burst in our front yard the day before Christmas, it was great. We are having a New Years Eve party tomorrow and I have been trying hard to get my house back to normal. I swear I have done two ton of laundry. Just checkin in with everyone and I'll see you later.

Getting back on that horse, so to speak
I have been back at the gym and doing all the weight loss/ healthier lifestyle stuff. I really thought it would be much harder than this to get back on track, but it hasn't been. I really enjoy it. I am also seeing results already, whoohoo! That makes the trips even easier.
I finished the Sookie Stackhouse series of books today. Now I'm waiting until May 09 for the next installment. It's gonna kill me. I LOVE THEM. And True Blood, the HBO series from these books. I'm a dork, I know.
I started reading the book called "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and so far so good. I can kinda put myself in her mind set. I LOVE to shop, but my good sense kicks in. I could go wild with an unlimited amount of money, it would be AWESOME! I wish I could win the lottery, hehe.
Well I'm off to see if I can squeeze in some small form of a nap while my husband is at home depot getting more bags to rake leave into.

Crush
Man do I have a new (never gonna happen not ever even if we are the last two on the face of the earth would he consider me) crush! UGH! I feel like I'm a teenager! Silly. So here he is Alexander Skarsgard, my Swedish hottie! Anyway what got me thinking on this was the issue of People with all the men in it. UGH. Hugh Jackman isn't all that sexy to me? I guess it's just me? Alexander Skarsgard is in Generation Kill and True Blood on HBO. HOT!

Bad
I'm having a bad day and I do think it will flow into my week. My dad is a immature ass and has done it again. If you know then you know if you don't well fine. Thanksgiving was great, best ever. I made the whole shabang! It was great.

I stink at being a mom sometimes!
My poor middle child had her school Thanksgiving program today. I was on time and happy with myself until she walked in, in her little Indian outfit and realized I had left the camera sitting on my computer desk to charge. UGH, I feel like such a JERK! I just don't want her ever to feel less loved than the other two!

2 Things
Well Maybe 3. Numero Uno, I want the new L'Oreal Infallible Lip Gloss! I can not justify a new lip gloss purchase though, since I had just gotten two new ones from VS. BUT then yesterday my $^@# Husband orders some freaking toys for himself and they showed up on our door step. Wow, really are you a 36 year old child, it's so unbelievable! So today I'll be off to get said gloss. Did you know that L'Oreal owns Lancome? And this L'Oreal lip gloss is JUST like a Lancome gloss, same package and everything.
Numero Dos, What do you all think of this little outfit for the girls?? I think it's so cute! AND I could do it in a red pinwale cord with festive little ruffles, cute hu!
Numero Tres, does anyone want to come over and help me put away my 84,000 loads of laundry??? Because I have the mother of all head aches!

Seriously
Pregnant man is in fact NOT a man but a woman. Is Christina Applegate a man now that she had a double mastectomy??? I think NOT! News and other such show please please stop called her a him, she a he! Woman is woman as long as she has a uterus and ovaries!!!! This is really stressing me out. Hey I understand that some don't feel as if they are a woman and identify as being a male, but non the less biology clearly states that you are still a woman!! I fully support your right to have that altered too, but until then please media STOP IT!! And how healthy is it that this woman is taking hormones to grow facial hair and then getting pregnant??

My next project
I haven't sewn anything since ummm, well, aahhhh, I don't know. If sewing strips of white cloth to long underwear to make a mummy costume count, than right before Halloween. So my plan is to sew the girls little Christmas jumpers. I'm very excited about the pattern I have picked out for this project. I had planned on making a summer outfit but then summer got away. So fingers crossed I won't mess around and be able to get this project under way.
Here is the pattern I am going to use

I plan on keeping the top pretty much the same, but putting a ruffle on the bottom, then the pants are going to lose the band get a ruffle like the shirt and maybe a little longer in length too.
So fabric:

OR

OR

I plan to make matching bows to go with the fabric I choose, along with crocheted socks. I will put a white turtle neck under the jumper top and not sure about the shoes? These will be our pictures with Santa outfit. Cute hu. I better get moving.

Wal Mart makes me want to scream!!
Today mid shopping trip I just walked out, well I paid first then walked out. I needed to get the girls some cheap-O shirts for school so I thought I would go there since I needed to grocery shop too. UGH, Mistake! I got the shirts, a movie for my sick kid, and about 1/4 to 1/3 of my groceries and then got a little too freaked out by the crisscrossing shoppers, slow pokes, wild kids and weird folks. I totally had a tiny mental snap. I hate that place, even more so at 12:00pm on a Sunday!

Recipes
I love love to cook. LOVE It! I am always looking for a new recipe to try out. But it seems as of late I just don't have the time to give to cooking like I did a year ago. It's making me sad. I know what the deal is, I have an extra little person around and my husband is in school 4 nights out of the week (Mon-Thurs), he's gone from about 5ish to around 8:45. He's not even there to enjoy the hit and misses I make. But soon it will be over, woohoo! He Graduates December 19th!!! So here is a list of recipes I'll be making now that it's almost over. Oh and I have a thing for Ina Garten.
Ina's Birthday Sheet Cake
Ina's Chocolate cupcakes with Peanut Butter Icing
Ina's Chicken Pot Pies, oh I can't wait for this one. I'm doing it this week, yum!
Thai Chicken Satay with Spicy Peanut Sauce.
Butternut Squash Tortellini with Brown Butter Sauce.
On Tuesdays we have Gymnastics from 4pm to 7pm. We are not home to cook. I have to give the girls a snack as we are heading out the door and them feed them dinner once home. So on those nights we do either crock pot dinners or casseroles. One of my favorite casseroles I got off the Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar website. Since my mom is one of 11 I have a fondness for super large families. I love em. It makes me feel welcome and at ease. My cousin Amy might feel the same or different since her house is where we all gather. But none the less I understand the HUGE family in a way most don't.
Tater tot casserole, I cut this recipe in half to feed my family of 5. It is really really good!
Crockpot BBQ, we love BBQ, but only PORK! We are in Memphis. I serve this with slaw, baked beans, deviled eggs and a salad.
I also do lots of red sauce type things because I can make it ahead then keep it warm in the slow cooker and chili too. So anywho, I'm sure I'll make another more interesting post later. My WONDERFUL husband took my oldest child to a birthday party this am, God Bless that man! The party started at 8:45 at the Zoo in the city. WHAT! That means they had to leave at 8:15, yuck!

Friday again
Well it's another week down and another week closer to Christmas. We are having a dilemma about what to get the girls. Either a BIG gift like a monster swing set, or a bunch of stuff. I personally think that the swing set is best, because my kids already have TONS of stuff. I am so sick of the stuff in our lives it drives me NUTS!! I just don't think that giving kids "stuff" all the time is good for them, even at Christmas. My husband on the other hand thinks that's the way it goes. My kids get a new movie every week from him, it's infuriating. His argument is that 1 we don't have a HUGE back yard because of the pool and spa, then the yard we have is landscaped to be two levels and then it backs up to a lake, 2nd that's cold and they won't get to play on it much. But I firmly believe that there is plenty of yard and we can put a little picket fence up around the 1st tier of the yard to keep everyone safe. I also think that they will be able to play on it through the winter months and it will be summer soon enough. So any comments will help (as long as you all agree with me, hehe)
I LOVE Pledge multi surface spray!!! Tiaras & Tantrums guilted me into dusting because of a question she had asked on her blog about house keeping. I had this stuff for a while but man oh man does it make dusting easy! You can dust and wipe your pictures and nick nacks all with the same stuff and cloth. You can also wipe down glass and electronics with it. The stuff is GREAT!
Is anyone watching the tv show Fringe?? Oh holy moly it's a great show. I am also hooked on True Blood, Bones and CSI. Hummm there is a theme with all these shows. Maybe I'm a big twisted??
Enjoy your weekend!!!

Holiday Season
Am I the only one not ready?? It just doesn't feel like it's almost mid November. Where has this year gone?? In just a few short weeks it will be time to get the tree up. UGH! I am so not feeling it this year. I sound like Scrooge I know. I think I'll be feeling better about it soon. It has just kinda sneaked up on me.
Last night I was able at 9:30 to sneak out for a nice 2 mile walk with my mini pin, it was wonderful. I so enjoy getting out and doing stuff like this. It's just so hard with all these little people around.

Losing it
This week I have lost 1 brand new Victoria's Secret lip gloss in Cherry Bomb, 1 Brand New Robeez, 2 pacifiers, 1 pair of big girls Gymnastics shorts and a brand new pair of socks for Clarie. What is going on here!! It's really making me mad. The worst is the Robeez. I really really really don't want to go out and buy another pair, this sucks. My MIL got these pair for Georgia and so I feel really bad about it coming up missing. I guess I'm going to have to really clean out my van to see if I can find it?
Other than that things have been going good. Saturday night birthday dinner was awesome. We finished off the tenderloin yesterday for lunch and it was so yummy. We drank way too much and had way too much fun. His best friend and his wife came over she happens to also be one of my really good friends and they have a little girl around my girls age so it was fun for everyone.
Today it really looks like fall. It's cold, windy, on and off rain and it's dark out side. I so wanted to sleep in, AHAHAHAHAHAHA HA! Georgia was up dark and early; 5:45, YAY!
Oh and also if anyone can find the extra time I seem to be missing please let me know. I really want to use that time exercising. I try everyday to fit it in, and some how I can NEVER get to it. Ugh, is it just me or is this and issue with all people who have 3 kids all doing different things because of the age difference? I currently belong to this gym, but want to belong to this one. While in Maryland we belonged to Lifetime and OH MY it was WONDERFUL! I so love to work out and it's really helpful to me when there are so many options so you don't get bored. And at 24 there is a window of time in the am and pm that your kids can be in the child care facility. At Lifetime it's open all day long, so it's great that way. Lifetime will be finished here in Spring of 09 and I so can't wait!! The only thing is it's about 100 bucks more to be a member of Lifetime. So we will see??
Well I can put it off no longer, I'm off to clean out my van, yuck! Wish me luck in finding my junk.

TGIF Baby!
Oh how I love Friday's! Tomorrow is Ed's birthday. I'm having a small birthday dinner party. For starters we will have iceberg lettuce wedges with home made blue cheese dressing, then the big boy, a Beef Tenderloin which I just got and it's SO pretty, if a tenderloin can be, the sides are Grits Casserole and asparagus. After that we will have a cheese platter with Brie, Chevre, Manchego, dates, tapenade, and grapes served with a Port. For dessert, he reverts back to being about 5, he always wants chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese icing, I don't get it either? It's his birthday. This year all he want's for his birthday is slippers. That's a TRUE sign that we are getting old!! Slippers it is then.
Oh I'm so looking forward to tomorrow. I don't have to get up for starters, Saturday's are his early day. The BIG thing is I don't have to get anyone ready for school. That makes me such a happy mommy!!! On most Saturday's the girls stay in junk clothes all day, it's wonderful! Though tomorrow the father in law will be here to take us to lunch, oh joy. I wish I could take all of you with me to experience this tortuous event. The things he say's to me and my husband are so off the wall and A$$ Holish! One afternoon he just dropped in with NO phone call. My husband was lucky enough to be gone with friends and one of my friends was on her way over to help me drink a bottle of wine. He walks in says "Wow you house is clean for once" Umm whatever. I say "I'm having company over" He says "A Man???". WTF! OMG NO I do NOT need another male in my life! This is just one of the many many off the wall things that have been said to me over the last 15 years. UGH. Don't ya wish you had him in your life. Never mind tomorrow is going to suck.
The baby has learned to say Thank you. I know she is saying this because I speak her language. It's so cute, she kisses you and says Thank You in baby, so sweet!!!

Sassy!
Ok, what the heck. My 4 year old sweet little baby girl tells me every morning she want's to be a teenager. WTF, is all I can muster to this comment. Not out loud to her, but in my head. What the heck is happening here??? This is really sad to me, and and lets not even get into what the 6 year old is wanting. Seriously! I don't know if any of you watch "Whatever Martha" on the FLN? I TiVo it, and was watching a few last night. Martha (Goddess of all things crafty Stewart) was making a table setting for a Barbie Party. Well Jennifer was saying that OMG yes it was so cute for a 3 year old, but her 8 year old would hate it. She wants things all glitter and trashy. Oh and how true that is. It's sad. I look at the clothes and thing Wow, your kidding right. These stupid half sleeve/glove things that come with the Hannah Montana shirts. What the heck is that junk?? Sequins belt/tie things, ugh, it's enough to make me want to move to a religious compound and make them wear Modest Swimwear (no offense to anyone out there that would be reading this and wears said swim suite).
On to Whatever Martha. If you don't watch this show you really really need to. Alexis Stewart and her friend Jennifer Koppelman Hutt sit and watch old Martha Stewart clips and totally rip it and Martha herself apart. It's so flipping funny. Sometimes I think to myself "what planet do you people live on", because of stuff like Alexis doesn't blow dry her own hair?? HU!!! Jennifer is more normal, if you can say that about someone who had Run DMC and The Beastie Boys play at their Sweet 16. For the most though it's really funny to watch them.
I have a few goals for the day. Lets bet that I don't get them done. UGH. I need to do laundry, LOTS of laundry. I need to clean out my kitchen fridge and my laundry room fridge. A job I just love to do, that's why it gets done like ohhhh maybe once every 4 to 6 months. Yuck. I need to sweep and mop again, I'm really getting sleepy thinking about this. I may need to nap before so I have the energy to do it all. Hehe.
I'm going to leave you with some of my favorite music. Some new, some older.
My oldest daughter was named after this song. Lydia Elise. I LOVE The Cure!!!
Ok, this is Pink Floyd, and if you know them then you are ready for this one, if not you may want to skip it. I LOVE Pink Floyd. It comes from my childhood. My partents Total hippie lifestyle while I was younger. My dad still lives the life.
Again this another one from my childhood. ELO. I used to stare at the cover of the album cover as a kid.
I also like all the top 40 stuff too, but these are really some of my favorites. Music is and has always been really important in my life. I could keep going with favorites, like Bluegrass, old Southern Hymnal songs and on and on.

Glum
I have been glum all week and don't know why??? I have everything I could want! I think it's got something to do with the time change, and the fact that my husband is never able (or willing) to spend time with me in the evenings? I don't know what the deal is. If he is at home and not working he is on the stupid freaking computer playing some stupid game with his stupid friends. It's really annoying! The evenings normally end up with me sitting in the den watching TV and him on the computer in there cussing at one of his "friends" because they got him killed on some stupid computer game. Very aggravating. I said something to him tonight before he rushed off to school after work. I got the "Whatever, I'm here, if you want to do something with me than you need to say something". Because it's my responsibility to always plan out our lives in every aspect. So aggravating! So any who, tonight I'm here alone again. After school he's off to a friends house to hang out because he needs time by himself. UGH!!!! OK, that's out and off my chest so I'm done.
Ok, so now to my next grumble. I can't find a book I want to read. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I love to read, and am always reading something. So it's very aggravating to not find something I really want to read. I am reading, Eat Love Pray. It's good and all but I'm not "into it", ya know. I will finish it, but I have a feeling it will take a while. I also have Water for Elephants. I haven't started that yet and don't know why? Just a mental block I guess. I just finished The 1st of the Sookie Stackhouse series, it was an easy quick read. I'm into just about all kinds of books. Some of my favorites are "The Red Tent" "We're just like You only Prettier" "Bright Lights, Big Ass", I also REALLY enjoyed "Abundance, A Novel of Marie Antoinette" "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan". So if you have read any of these books and enjoyed them please make me a suggestion.
Am I the only one who has eaten their weight in mini candy bars?? I tell ya, It seems that my regular meals have all been pushed out of the way so I can eat miniature candy. I wonder why I feel all yucky when I lay down at night??? Hummmm????
ARG! A flipping telemarketer just called my house and it's flipping 8:33pm. My kids are in bed!! Now thing 1 and 2 are up, great! Good thing Mini Thing is still out.
I'm off to tuck kids back into bed, you all have a good one.

Back to the land of the living
Well I'm back. I got my shot last Monday and by Thursday I was feeling normal. Halloween was good. Lydia was a Mummy, Claire was a Mermaid and Georgia was Cinderella. I will post pictures later. We trick or treated and got lots of loot, it was fun! Other than that things are going good but slowish.
Get out tomorrow and vote if you haven't already. My voting place is my daughter's school. I am keeping her out tomorrow. I don't want to deal with the people. I like a goofball didn't vote early. So I'll be standing in line with everyone else, oh joy. Kinda sad it over, I have REALLY been enjoying Tina Fey as Palin, it's so freakin funny! No but really I am glad it's going to be over tomorrow.
Daylight savings time thing has really got me sleepy!! I got up easy this am, but whoa I'm sleepy now.

So sick!
Ugh, I started running fever last night and it just got worse as the night went on. I think as of today at 5:37pm I have only be awake for about 3 hours total. UGH I feel so yucky. Strep is going around Claire's preschool and dear God I hope I don't have it. I can barely eat my throat hurts so bad. I have had chicken broth and toast today. UGH I want this to go away!!
Here's something that makes me laugh, I hope you enjoy!
I couldn't get the stupid thing to post in my blog. URRR. My brain is misfiring.

Love #4 This hat, please don't judge me. I was raised is Wear/Dittmer Missouri. Before there I lived in So Il. It's deer country.
That's it for now.

Georgia's Birthday and Happy reunion
First of all I want to say Congrats to my cousin on becoming Homecoming Queen 08!!!
Second my cat came home. Woohoo. Last night, my husband found her under a tree in front of our house.
And now on to the pictures! Georgia not feeling the celebration.

Cake, yum!

This is my friend holding Georgia, I told her I was going to say it was me since she is like 6ft tall and tan and super skinny, even though she will say she's not.

Her favorite present! She loves this thing. It bounces up and down and makes noise, she LOVES it.

What the HECK MAN!!!!
My flippin cat ran away sometime last night before bed. I guess she got out when the doors where open and didn't come back. We have a screened in porch and she likes to hang out there. Well my STUPID dog busted through the screen on the door and I assume that's how she got out. Poor cat. She is a total house cat. Why do my animals run away?? I mean they live the life here!
Well on a happy note it's Clinique bonus days. I got my little goody bag, with some good stuff. Lotion, lipstick, a compact with eye shadow, bronzer and blush. AwEsOmE!!

Irrationally Mad!
This is going to be stupid so bare with me until the end please. I went through the stuff that they didn't take at the consignment shop and they ended up taking a jacket that goes to an outfit that is so cute! They didn't take the pants or the shirt, just the little quilted jacket. I got so up set over that. I was sitting in my bedroom floor crying over a jacket. My husband thinks I'm being stupid and I should let it go, but I want them to either take the rest of the outfit or give the jacket back. I know irrational. I was so upset that I couldn't sleep. So I got up did the dishes, 2 loads of laundry, swept and moped the floor in the kitchen. As I'm moping I am thinking and you know how your mind goes from one thing to the next. "I love Reese Witherspoon's haircut it's so cute, her kids are my kids age, she did a movie in Memphis, Reese's kids always looks so cute in the Trash Mags, Lydia would look so cute in some of those outfits, Man my floor is dirty, glad I'm getting ready for the party now" And that's where it hit me!!! My baby is going to be 1! I am so sad over this I can't even put the emotions into words. I'm sitting here welling up with tears now over just typing this. She is THE baby for me. NO MORE!! I will have NO more children. I am so upset over this and over the fact that after doing all I could do to keep this year from flying by it has! I have NEVER said "Oh I can't wait until she can....." Because I knew from the other two it will come when it's supposed to and rushing it only makes life seem like it's moving faster. But this time it seems to have gone even quicker?? Another thing that really has me upset is that because my baby was a preemie and had RSV and was sick all winter, my grandma never got to see her. I never got to hear her say "I'll tell ya something Tamar that baby will......When she wants to" Or to fuss at me because she wasn't wearing a onesies under her clothes. I know I wasn't there at lot in the end, but man I sure miss my grandma! She was so special to me. I feel like I'm in emotional over drive today. There are a million more things that have me upset but these are the biggies. God I hope I don't sound like my mom all crazy and whatnot! But I'm sure I do, because after all who are we without the women who shape us?

Mmmmmm that's good!
SoyJoy Apple is so so so yummy!!! I am so trying to lose weight and I decided to give this a try today because they were out of my Luna Lemon zest bar. The great thing is beside the fact that it's yummy is it has less calories!! Found my new favorite snack, just thought I would share. That with a Hazelnut skinny latte, yum!
Lydia has to do a diorama of a animal habitat. Any animal she wants. Guess what she picks???? I'll wait a minute to let you think. She is super girly, no boys in her life. Loves Hannah Montana and all that jazz. Any guesses??? A Bat! Yes she chose a bat. She thinks they are cute?? I don't know??? So now we are going to make a diorama of a nursing colony in a cave. Easy. Gray tissue paper, gray construction paper and fuzz balls to make the bats, easy! Wish us luck.
Today was a sad day for all moms! Or maybe just me. I sold all of Georgia's baby stuff to a consignment shop. He swing, bouncy, bassinet, crib mobile and as much preemie and newborn stuff they would take, which wasn't much?? They took all the big stuff and maybe 10 outfits. I also threw in a jacket of Clarie's that she NEVER wore and still had the tags on it from Old Navy. They gave me $103.00. I guess that's pretty good? I mean it was used and it was all gifts so I totally made 103 dollars. But my stuff is REALLY cared for. I even had the instruction manual for the stuff. But all in all I'm happy to have the extra cash and the extra space in our house. But sad to see the year almost come to a close. She will be 1 on Sunday. Where did it go??

What now
The scene my kitchen. The charters my children. Lydia was messing with the calendar on our fridge. She knocked a magnet off and it broke. Now if you knew my child this is NO surprise that something got broken. She is her father's daughter after all. So anywho, it broke into 4 pieces and Claire comes running in.
Claire "OHHHHHH Lydia what did you break".
Me "She broke a magnet".
Lydia "I'M SORRY, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE MAGNETS ON THE FRIDGE ANYWAY!!!!!!"
Clarie "What kind of Magnet"
Me "It was the cross magnet that Mrs. Michelle got me"
Lydia "I'M SORRY!"
Clarie "OHHHHHH Lydia did you know Jesus dies on the cross, and you breaked it!!!"
Lydia "Awwwww (tears) Claire DON'T EVER SPEAK TO ME AGAIN TOMORROW EVER EVER TOMORROW!!!!"
Claire "Whatever Lydia. Mommy do you think God is mad at Lydia"
Me "No Clarie he's not mad, God teaches us to forgive. I'm sure he's already over it that Lydia broke a magnet from the dollar tree"
There's always some mini drama at my house.

Slowing things down
Well last week was a blur! I have about a week before it starts all over again. And boy do I have the laundry to prove it. I'm also back on watching my calorie intake. I hate that I have to do this but I do. I do not come from people that can eat whatever and stay svelte. I get a little obsessed over watching what I eat too. I keep a log on excel to track it for me. I told you, I'm a smidge crazy.
Today it's gray outside. It looks like it might rain. It is cooler today too. Which is good with me. I love cooler weather. Speaking of cooler, I have NO clue what I'm going to do for my kids Halloween costume. Lydia wants to be a glow in the dark skeleton, Claire wants to be a mermaid (no prob, the costume that was hand sewn last year that she wouldn't wear) and I am clue less about Georgia. Any suggestions would be helpful! I think for Lydia I'm going to get a black full body leotard and paint it with paint them go over it with glow in the dark paint, slick her hair back and paint her face with face paint. Again Claire, easy, my mom spent a long time last year hand sewing mermaid costumes for them and Clarie refused to wear her's she want to wear Lydia's old witch costume. No issues, she's done. For Georgia I have to have something that won't make her hot since it's warmer here on Halloween. I was thinking a tiny Sugar Plum Fairy or a butterfly or even a Lady Bug. A Lady Bug with be easy for her. She doesn't walk, so it would just have to look cute in her stroller.
Anyway have a great day and help me think.

Cool!
If you have a child in your house that is infant to around 7-8 years old you have to get the book Gallop! I have said it before and I'll say it again, it's a COOL book!! We went to the book fair today to see what they had. I let the older girls pick out their books, I picked this up for Georgia. Bad Kitty is also a funny book, it had Lydia in stitches! I plan to get her the others that go in this series, it really was a funny book. Oh and if you do a Google on Gallop you may get something you were not looking for in less a Lawyer in Philadelphia, I'm just saying.
Laundry and a Jogging Stroller, woohoo!
Where does it all come from?? Why am I still washing 3T clothing when NONE of my children can wear a 3T? Why does it take me 2 washes to get the dark clothes out of the washer?? I seem to have an issue with getting dark stuff out of the washer, I know it's because ALL of my husbands shirts have to be hung dry and I DO NOT like to do that. So they sit for 24-48 hours in the washer and are smelly when time to hang them. Oh don't judge me, like you have NEVER done the same thing! So from time to time (weekly) I get lazy.
So Saturday was our big neighborhood yard sale. I scored a double jogging stroller for 10 bucks!!! It had been crashed and was wobbly, and the seat was ripped. I stitched it up with heavy duty thread, reinforced it with some heavy duty repair cloth. Cleaned it, then took the wheels off and banged it out straight. W-D 40 all the moving parts now it's good as new. I feel so good about it!! My kids LOVE It.
It's so quiet in my house today. My older kids are in school. My husband is at a seminar down town and my baby is napping. I haven't been this alone in a while, it's crazy! So instead of doing that laundry like I should I'm blogging. Why is my house always dirty again??
Well Georgia must of heard my thoughts because I hear her up from her morning nap. We are off to Starbucks for some coffee and milk, yum.

TGIF!!!!
And boy do I mean that one!!! It's been a busy week! I have fallen into a nice groove and life isn't so stressful anymore. I really am enjoying being room mom. I got the best best thank you from some children in Lydia's class yesterday. I was up there helping with a PTA function so I stopped in her classroom to see if her teacher needed anything. As I was there talking to her teacher one little boy came up to me and just hugged on me for a good 3 minutes. Poor little soul put his arms around my waist and laid his head on my side and just stayed there for a good few minutes. When he walked away another little boy came up and did the same thing. No words, they just needed hugs. I really hope there children get as much love at home at my own children do.
Our school book fair starts this week. I helped set up yesterday. I LOVE books!!! I have always loved books. It really takes me back to my own school days, it was always so much fun to see all the books. I lived in the COUNTRY, so the closest I had come to a book store was the selection at Wal Mart. So to see all those new books set up in our school was so cool to me as a kid. They have some really cool books out there. Lydia is into the Fancy Nancy stuff right now, so she loves those books. There is a book call Gallop that I'm going to get for Georgia, and I'm going to let Claire get whatever she wants, I'm sure it will be Barbie something. There are also several good adult books that I would like to have and a GREAT selection of cookbooks. I have a sickness for cookbooks. I can't turn a cookbook down, even if it's bad.
I think my parents are going to be here tomorrow night, fingers crossed because i told my girls already. Tomorrow is also the biggest yard sale in our city and WOOHOO it's in my neighborhood. Not so woohoo! My neighborhood and the even bigger one right next to me are involved. It's so crazy here for this one day. It's huge and so hard to go anywhere if you need anything. People that don't live here really act like butt holes. They drive like butt holes, drive on our nice medians that we pay to keep done and they liter and are just all in all jerky! They set up food vendors through the neighborhoods and it's just chaos for the people that live here. Here's hoping I find some good stuff!!!
So I'm off to play trouble with my Clarie then grocery shop. 1st stop Target to get a Starbucks and toilet paper, hummmm, did I mean to put those two things together??? Anyway I'm so happy that the Pumpkin spice latte is back!! In Maryland the grocery store I shopped at had a Starbucks in the store that so was awesome!!!

The devil I tell ya!
That's what my husband is!! I'm trying to watch what I eat and what does the jerk bring into my house?? Chick fil A chicken tenders. I'm sitting here with my grilled chicken and salad and he's enjoying fried chicken!! Oh well, will power is not his strong point when it comes to food. But still, I love chick fil a and it smelled so good!!!
You know those nights that you have a function at your house and your playing the jazz, house is clean and smelling good. That's my house tonight!! Oh yes, the girls had a friend over after gymnastics and they were busy outside playing and mommy was busy inside making our house look pretty!!! I love my house and love it even more when it's clean. So tonight I go to bed with clean sheets and clean floors, yes! Goodnight all, I'm pooped.

Howdy!
I have greasy hair today and two PTA meeting to attend. I overslept, GREAT!!! Claire got bumped to the advanced class in gymnastics cuz she's a SupaStar!! No really we have working really hard at the gym and at home. That little kid is STRONG! Lydia is doing great in school and keeping me busy, yay! Georgia will be 1 in 3 weeks, seriously where did the year go?? If you find it please let me know, I'm sure I did some things I wasn't proud of and would like a re-do. Oh and if any of you out there in cyber world comes across a Nastia Lunkin poster please let me know. Claire REALLY REALLY wants one. In the true fashion of a 4 1/2 year old I have only heard this about 60 bazillion times in the last 2 days. UGH alright kid I'm on it cuz I live to serve you!! Have a good one, off to wash my yucky hair!

Coming up for air
Husband has been out of town for 2 weeks for business. He got home today, whoohoo!! Thank the god lord! So I hope to find time to blog soon. Man being room mom, on the PTA for Lydia, running Claire to and from pre-school, catechisum for the girls, gymnastics for both girls and having an 11 month old plus laundry, house, dinners and all the jazz had me going nuts!! Even if he doesn't do much, he's still here.

Is it really Wednesday??
Wow, this week is moving, whoohoo! Looking forward to Friday. My husband is in D.C. for the week at his office and he comes home on Friday and I already can't wait and he only left his am.
Today Lydia went to the Allergist to find out why she is sick all the time. We got some answers and some hope. She was given the diagnose of Chronic sinus disease and acute asthma. He did a CT of her sinus and poor thing let me tell ya. Totally all the way not a bit clear! About 99% blocked on both sides. She also had blood taken to test for an immunity deficiency, because she does get sick so much and so easy. She spends about 3/4 of her life sick. So fingers crossed that we will find some answers and get her better. We go back in 6 weeks for another CT to see if things get better after her 6wks of treatment. Oh and she has NO allergies, woohoo!! We did the test on her back and nothing, so no shots!
This Sunday is the girls 1st Sunday of Religion classes, so lets hope that they love it. I know fat chance, but maybe?
One of my long lost talk to every month or so friends and I have decided to become each other's walking partners to help in the fight of fat. I'm so excited!!!
My parents were down for the weekend and got to do some good visiting with the kids. We took them to the Delta Fair and had fun. We got our share of carnie food and it was YUMMY!!! But what the heck man. One "Game" was giving away bunnies. Yes I said that right RABBITS!! What is this 1950? I felt SO bad for the poor little things, God only knows how they are cared for and what kind of home they would go to.
Speaking of Poor animals. I saw myself in my child today. Living in the suburbs you sometimes see things you wish you didn't. I have seen deer get stuck on very busy streets. Well today a poor dog was running down the sidewalk of a busy street to a even busier street. My child came undone. She cried so hard and begged me to stop and help the dog. Something I would of done as a child (even sometimes now). I have such a soft spot for animals, I would have 10 dogs if I could. She was so mad at me that I didn't stop to help she wouldn't talk to me. Poor kid, poor dog.
This week I have had Health Room duty for Lydia's school. Let me tell ya, yuck!! Pee pee pants and sick kids are NO fun!! I feel for the kids and most of them just want to go home. There was one poor kids who was really sick and his mom would not come get him, how sad! It was kinda funny to see the "Sick" kids come in and poof not so sick once mom would agree to come get them. Hehe. Little shysters. But hey I can't say I wasn't one of them once.

Mess, mess mess!
My house is a mess anyone want to help out? I have been yucky feeling the past few days and my house is showing the signs. You ever have those days when you look around and go Wow how did this happen? I woke up that way today. That's ok, I'll have plenty to do to pass the time.
This weekend is the Delta Fair here, my kids are so excited. Some yummy fair food and some good ol redneckin!
I am in need of a recipe (Amy help). My grandma and I think one of my aunts used to or still does make a slaw like recipe that has ramen noodles (uncooked) almonds and cabbage with a vinegar dressing. Holy moly it's so so so good. If anyone out there knows please send it to me. I have a hankerin!
Today I did my 1st duty as a room mom. I sat and tore out workbook sheets to help my daughters teacher out. Oh man my daughter was so proud that her mommy was at school. I think that totally made her day. I'm thinking of taking the Paraprofessional test to be a teachers aide, so once all my kids are in school, maybe I can work at the school where they go?? Maybe???? I don't know how much I like kids, no just kidding, well kinda, hehehehe.
This weekend is a holiday weekend, whoohooo! No school on Monday, YAY! Very excited about NOT getting up that day, hehehe.

Jeans vs. Genes
Today I hit my "My ass is too big" point!!! I tell ya, this is sick. I'm getting a jogging stroller (fingers crossed) and hittin the street! I do not come from a skinny group of people so I'm always going to short with big thighs and a big butt, that's ok, but my gut is really yuck. I gotta get movin!
Ok so now that's out of the way and I can move on.
So this weekend was a blur or movement. Yikes it went fast. Friday night we took the kids to PNO at their gymnastics studio with some of their school friends and then school friends parents along with Ed and I went out to dinner. We went to Abuelo's. YUM, we had margaritas and tons of fun. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp, YUM!!
Saturday we were up and running early. We had a party to go to at Paint a Piece, and we hadn't gotten the gift yet. So I let my kids go wild at Justice, I was the "COOLEST MOM EVER" for that one. Little girls LOVE Justice. So birthday girl got a cute little outfit (dress with leggings) a matching pair of earrings, a pack of head bands and a HUGE sucker that said Justice. My kids also got a pack of head bands and some ink pens. And I even had a 20% off coupon, whoohooo!! Kids had a BLAST at the party ate tons of sugar and got to make a mess and I didn't care since I wasn't cleaning it up. I went out with my friends on Saturday night and had a great time. We ate lots of yummy cheeses, imported Salami, spinach artichoke dip and drank beer. I had a Tecate, in a can. It was good, I was surprised.
Sunday we were up early to get ready for Mass. UGH, we didn't get out of the house on time and got there right as Mass was starting and didn't get a seat. UGH!!! We had to sit in the lobby with all the other folks that got there late. OH well, lesson learned, be early to Mass, it's the place to be on Sunday mornings. We came home ate lunch, kids laid down for a nap and I watched my Jamie at home on Tivo. I made a roast chicken for dinner and it was YUM. Ed went out for a while and when he came home we had spanish sparkling wine with brie, manchego, smokey gouda, feta, dates, grapes, tapenade, sopresetta, black pepper salami and toast rounds. We sat in the living room and watched Anthony Bourdain in London. It made me miss Europe. I really want to go back and visit, or live whatever.
Well I'm off to get kids ready for Gymnastics, yay.

No job, oh well
I weighed it out and decided that it just wouldn't be worth it to leave Georgia for that long every week. I know it's not that many hours, but it is for someone who has always stayed with their kids. And the care I can give her is more important than 150/200 bucks a week. While I would LOVE the money, I would NOT love someone in our lives that much. I parent my kids the way I want and that is the reason I decided to leave my GOOD job to be with them. So that's that. Maybe in another 3 years when she is 4.

Lands End fall and maybe a job??
I LOVE the new stuff from Land's End for fall. Some SUPER cute stuff, check it out. I love love love the orange patent tote and the orange mocs. That would be so so so cute with a brown sweater with a nice white button up shirt under it with a cream quilted vest. So cute!!
So a friend of ours asked me today what kinds of clerical skills I have. I said Man I got Mad Skilz, YO! I was Admin Asst for General Sessions Criminal Court here in Mempho-town for several years before becoming full time mommy. He asked if I could do account receivable??? I said never done it, but I know I could if shown, heck I learned HTML programing because I wanted to. So there! His family owns a business and needs someone about 20-25 hrs a week to do some clerical/data/accounts receiving kinda stuff. I would LOVE to do that stuff again, to have my own money (yes yes yes, I "have" my own money now, but I don't get a paycheck). OMGoodness, to get out of the house a few hours a day, OHMIGOODNESS! The only down side, who would keep Georgia?? I can't afford to pay anyone and Nana and Papooh do not live close. What to do what to do????? I want extra "mad" money so BAD!!
And on to money. When did the catholic church start charging for religion classes??? When I was a young catholic it was free. The church offered it and I went, what happened????? Yeah, for Lydia and Claire to start it's 85 bucks!! What!!! AND it's one and a half hours long. Yes 1.5, 1 1/2 HOURS! Claire (age 4) will NOT be happy. But whats a catholic mom who can't afford catholic school (at the moment) to do?? Lydia has to have a year of religion classes before she can be confirmed. That's next year, so no choice!!! UGH, I really wanted a patent leather pair of Mocs and a matching tote, boohoo. Maybe next week.

Untitled because it's too early to be clever
It's Saturday, Georgia was up at 6am, what the heck!!! I have a PTA meeting at 9am. Who does this, Saturday at 9am. Your kidding right!! Georgia has learned that there is a removable tray on her high chair and when she takes it off and throws it to the floor it A. makes an awesome sound (to her) and B. the dogs come a running for food bits that goes a zillion different ways, fun. Off to shower and get ready for Parent fun at school and drink LOTS O coffee.
Enjoy pictures of my middle child. Poor thing so much the middle child.

So sleepy!
UGH!!! I feel like a zombie today! I went to bed early enough, around 10:30 - 11:00, but my sweet baby Georgia did not sleep well last night. I half slept all night and finally at 5:00am she was awake screaming for a bottle. I fed her, and why may I ask do they eat so so so slow when your about to drop them from being so sleepy???? Any who she finished at like 5:45 and was back asleep. I jumped into the bed hoping for an hour of sleep. NOPE!! Didn't get back to sleep before it was time to get Big girl up for school at 6:45am. Why can't I fall asleep like my husband??? Seriously people, he can get into the bed and is asleep in like 30 seconds, it makes me sick. I just want to put a pillow over his face. So today is shopping day and I feel like a sleepwalker! I don't think there is enough coffee in our house to keep me going today. I may have to "rest" on the couch while the other kids are having quiet time. But look at this face, who could NOT love it!!!
OK, question for anyone who reads this. How do you do your grocery shopping? Do you go in there blind or do you take a list??? I spend a whole day making a menu for the upcoming week, check the sales ads to see where I'm going for what and then make a grocery list. My list is everything we might eat in a week, breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, dessert and evening snack for the hubby and I. My husband thinks I'm crazy for spending so much time doing this?? Most of my friends just go in there with no plan. If I did that I would come out with wine, beer, cheez its, cereal, half and half and maybe some diapers. I glaze over in there without a plan and a list. I have to do this for every major shopping trip I make. School clothes shopping for Lydia, had to have a list of all things I needed, after making the list of things we already had. Am I crazy??

A few firsts
Georgia and her 1st Oreo

Lydia's 1st day of 1st Grade

Lydia at her desk in class, awwwww see her Panda lunch box in the back. She's so proud of that box, it's a Planet Earth lunch box and it's made out of recycled plastic bottles. She says using it make her feel good because she knows she is doing something good for the earth. Such a sweet kid!!!

Not a 1st but a cute picture of MessFacePigPants(nice nickname hu) and TurkeySue.

And she's off
Today was the big day. School started. The 1st thing she said to me this am was "I don't know if I'm ready mommy". Broke my heart. I think once we got going and she was in the school she was better. Then we met her teacher and things got much better. She knew 3 kids in her class from last year, thankfully!! I hope she has a great day!!! She kinda kicked me out, I said to her "I'll say a little longer ok" and she said "No it's ok, you can go ahead and go". Just like that, didn't even look up from her coloring, nothing. UGH, heartbreaking. I'm not ready for my kids to grow up!!

School Shopping
It's done for another year. We have jeans, carpi's, shorts, shirts, shoes, panties and socks. We have all required school supplies. That was so fun to me as a kid, getting supplies, new paper and all that. I think my daughter is a happy camper. We still don't know who her teacher is, but I think she is at ease with it all now that she knows I'll be at school a lot. My MIL came along with us yesterday to help with the baby while we tried on clothes. I promised the kids that IF they were good that I would take them to toys"r"us so they could spend their allowance money. They had a great time and ended up with a easy bake oven and a snoopy snow cone make. My arms are rubbery from making snow cones. You have to crank that thing to get the ice shavings to come out. Don't know if any of you have the cheese grater from Pampered chef, but it works like that. I'm ready to hit target to get a electric snow cone maker. We also did cookies in the easy bake, wow they were crunchy, but they tasted like a cookie.
I'm in a dinner rut, ya ever get there?? I'm sick of the regular things I make and can't find anything that sounds so yummy. If my kids had it there way we would have spaghetti, garlic bread and steak every night. I love lighter things like shrimp with tomatoes, garlic and pine nuts over whole wheat pasta, hubby does not. So we (me) are in a a rut. I think tonight I may make ham and biscuits??? I don't know. I would love to hear any suggestions you all have. If anyone is reading this thing, hehe.

Somedays
Somedays my kids make me so happy that they are here I can't even put that feeling into words. I love em and am so happy to have them! Thanks be to god today is one of those days, they are being sweet to each other and to us today. Through the baby monitor this am, Lydia said to Georgia (Lydia goes to see her every am before doing anything, she also gets in the crib with her) "You sure are as happy as a clam today, I think today is going to be a good one for you". So sweet. Later Lydia told me as we were walking back to the car through the melting parking lot at the fabric store, "Wow mommy it's sweltering today". Thank you WordGirl. I love to see her proud of herself to for using one of her "new" words. She is so very nervous about starting 1st grade and having a new teacher and new friends. I feel for her, I understand her anxiety. I really remember those last few days before the start of the new school year. I know she will love it, because that's the kind of kid she is, but her BFF is being homeschooled this year and it's breaking her heart. She is very happy though that I'm on the PTA board this year and will be room mom, she thinks I'll be there to check her out of school early whenever. Hehe. Nice try though.

Sometimes things don't work the way you hoped
Well while the kids were gone I had hoped to get so much sewing done. That's all I wanted to do. I was able to get a dress for the baby done and one for myself. My kids were gone 4 days only and my oldest daughter got hysterical and wanted to come hone. She was missing her baby sister too much. So my mom came and stayed a week and a half with me. Wow, love her, but was so glad to see her depart yesterday. She is a SUPER NEAT FREAK. So this whole time was spent cleaning everything, and I mean everything, not sewing like I had hoped. My driveway, patio, garage, house, attic you name it. I feel guilty to let her do it alone, so I helped the 1st week and was on jury duty this week. Thanks be to god I was selected to be a grand jury alternate. So that meant only 2 days. Monday and Thursday. I was done by 10am both days. Woohoo! But I have a house so clean inside and out it's GREAT and I do LOVE my mom to death and love spending time with her! She is going thru a really rough time right now with my brother, so she was so happy to be here and distracted.
So here and the things I did sew. I also made the burp cloth, but not this week.
This pattern is Simplicity 3509, easy as pie to make.

This pattern is Very Easy Vogue V8379 wrap dress and boy was it easy to put together.

I LOVE the front of this dress!!! It doesn't slouch and my top doesn't hang out.

My oldest trying her hand at needlepoint.

Up next is something for my older daughters, something fun. I'm still trying to start my smocking, it's so scary to me.
Tomorrow I'm going to see Dave Matthews Band. I'm not a huge fan, but it's free and why not.

She's home!!
My sign hanging paid off!! Some nice lady that lives 2 miles from my house found my dog! She said she got up Friday morning (the 4th) and Bitsy was in her back yard barking to be let in. She said she gave her that afternoon to "find" her way home but she kept getting in her back yard. So that night she took her in feed her and started calling around to the 24 hour places to see is someone reported a lost dog. She hung sings in her part of her neighborhood. Lucky for us someone who we talked to on Saturday night noticed our signs and then noticed her signs. She called us and that's how we found our little doggy! She was very well cared for by the people who had her for the 4 days she was missing but I think she is so happy to be home. She has stayed in her bed and just slept since coming home last night. Poor thing. We are very happy and all 3 of our animals are going to get implanted with micro-chips.
You ever have those days that no matter how many times you shower you still feel sticky. I'm having one of those days. I think because it's so humid. Yuck.
Today was gymnastics for my middle daughter. She is doing so well. Her upper body is really getting strong. She can do a pull up on the high bars, and can mount and walk the balance beam with ease. I'm so proud of her. Oldest daughter has cheer tumble tomorrow night and she is coming along great too. She almost has her back hand spring down.

Ohhhh, can you hear that!!!
It's so quiet, I love it!! My big girls are at a friends house playing, the baby is down for her nap and the husband is gone to Lowes for something. I think this is the 1st time in forever I have had this much alone time. It's AWESOME, sorry to yell, but wow!!!
Baby girl is still doing good. She is now a moving gal. She can get to where she wants either by rolling or scooting. So cute.
Went to Super Target for retail therapy yesterday. It was great. I love Target. One stop everything. Everybody got something. Oh and next time you hit target, stop at the Starbucks in there and have yourself a strawberry lemonade, yummy!!!
Our dog is still missing. I have called everywhere and hung signs and still nothing. It's so sad. And to top it off, I have a summer cold. UGH. Oh well this too shall pass. I have been saying that a lot these last few days.

Sad day
Yesterday was so stressful! I got up at 4:30am to get ready for Georgia's tube procedure, that went great and we are very happy with the outcome. She has taken so much medicine over the last 2 and half months and been in so much pain. She slept like a champ last night!!
But at 9:45 I let my two little dogs out to go potty for the night, we have a mini pin and a rat terrier. The mini pin is 5 and the rat terrier is 10, with heart disease. We live in the suburbs, I have a double fenced yard because of having a pool and my back yard backs up to a lake. Well the mini pin came back barked my daughter let him but our little old lady terrier didn't come back. We don't know what happened to her?? I don't know if somehow she learned to get through the fences and someone took her or if something got her? She is my husbands dog and he is so upset! We left the garage door open enough for her to get in if she came back and he slept on the couch in our front living room in case she came to the front door. We looked until 12:30am and then we got up at 5am and started again. It's so sad. Not knowing and her little buddy the mini pin (Loki) is so sad too. I hope at some point today she wanders up?? I'm so scared for her, we live about 2 miles from some serious traffic. Poor thing.

Tubes on Thursday
I'm so happy that she will be out of pain and that her ear infections will go away. But am so scared that my little tiny tiny baby will be knocked out. And what makes things really yuck is that she has acid reflux so they want to put an IV in and a breathing tube in. UGH!!! I hate to think of that!!! They say it will last only a few minutes and then be done, fingers crossed she is in no pain and keep us in you thoughts on Thursday.

Ear infection HELL!
Yes yes ladies and gents that is where I live as of late. My baby who is 8 almost 9 months old has had an ear infection since almost birth. But it's been really really bad the last month and half. So tomorrow we go to see a ENT (ears nose throat). God willin and the creek don't rise we will be sportin tubes soon! Poor baby hasent been able to breath thru her nose in like a month, so we are also a hopin and a prayin that we will get our (her) adenoids out too, but she may be too young for that and may have to wait till she gets older. I have been up almost every night with her and I can't even tell you how many batteries we have gone thru with the swing ( place she likes to sleep best while in ear pain). But on a developmental note she is gearing up to crawl. She is flippin her self over and shoving them little fat baby legs up and doing the booty shimmy. It's so cute and yet so sad. I'm so not ready for this to go by. She's my last baby!!! Anywho, soon I hope to be able to blog regularly.

Happy Father's Day!!
Sending out a happy father's day to all you dads. Hope you have a great one. My daughters woke up this am very very happy and excited to see their daddy open his gifts. They made him a coffee mug with their hand prints on it, the bigger girls made him coasters as well. We also go him a new Polo and some khakis. He will look very nice tonight when we go out to eat with is dad (woohoo, can you feel how excited I am to eat with the father in law and the step-mother in law). I made him a big ol country breakfast. Country ham, bacon, gravy, grits with homemade biscuits. It was yum!

Southern Snobbery
Ok ya'll, I have been, to say the least obsessed with blogs as of late. Not like my kids are hungry and dirty obsessed, but I love to read em. Like a little voyeur peeking into someones life window. Anywhoo, being that I'm a southern lady and am raising southern women of the future, I love the preppy and southern blogs. I feel like us Southern ladies know preppy very well and that being a southern lady it's just the nature of the beast here. So do northern folks get preppy like us (I know gasp, now breath}????? Don't we have like a patent on pearls, mint julep cups, monogramming, SEC football and all that jazz? My children and I say ma'am, we Never do rude thing in public, say please and thank you, we brush our teeth then say our prayers. I mean we live and breath the southern way of life. Just tonight we had an in prompt to girls night at my house and it was complete with a Lilly theme a full spread of cheeses, dips, drinks (of adult and children in nature} on the patio over looking our pool and the lake. In just a few hours I can do this, so southern of me. Not to ramble, but I was reading a blog about a preppy mom and then read her profile and she is from a northern state a way northern state and I was like OMG, will the ladies brigade come get me??? I mean what do they know of smocking, hair bows, monogramming, madras, pearls, and our wonderful southern customs, church, daddy and momma? I had a not southern woman ask me once "by the way, whats with the hairbows on your girls that have to match every outfit they have and why are they so big?", I tell ya'll I about fell out. Anywho, what do ya'll think, btw, I have had a few and may sound crazy. Just gettin all territorial. So is it a southern thing or is it a state of mind and not the state you live in????
