My favorite Beauty Products

Lets talk about beauty products. There are a few things in life that I am super passionate about. Cooking, any crafting, my kids and makeup. I love makeup. I love how it's an extension of art. To me it's more than what looks good with your skin tone, though that is also a big part of it. You have to understand color and the color wheel. It's super fun to play with make up. So lets take a look at some of the things I love.

Foundation:
My favorite foundation is from Clinique. I have sensitive skin that gets aggravated by a lot of stuff, it can be very annoying. So for me this is the best bet. I use Even Better Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 foundation. I am almost 40 and so I am starting to show signs of my age. I do have a few sun spots and so this does a good job with coverage without looking and feeling heavy.

Concealer:
I have more of hard time with this one because I naturally have dark coloring under and one my eyes. I have a natural brown color and again I am almost 40 so I have started to get those fine little lines under my eyes that concealer loves to gather in and enhance. So I need a full coverage product that will also be lighter weight to blend well. I use Benefit Erase Paste. It's heavy enough to give me full coverage but it's creamy and bendable. I am forever on the search for the most perfect concealer so if you have one please comment and let me know.

Powder:
I'm not a huge fan of powder now that I'm getting older. I use it in high shine areas like my forehead, nose and chin, but that's about it. I like the old stand by Cody Translucent Loose Powder. I think it's been around like a million an done year. And you can get it at any Target, Walmart, Walgreen or Rite Aid. It's everywhere.

Eyeliner:
Oh man, I LOVE eyeliner! LOVE IT!! I have a light blue eye color so eyeliner really really makes the color of my eyes stand out. I have probably 50 to 60 different colors of eyeliner and most all of them are from Urban Decay. They have the BEST pencil eyeliner. It's smooth, goes right on and stays put. I also have oily skin, even on my eyelids, so sometimes if I were to use a cheaper liner it's smudge as the day goes on and transfer to under my eyes. Trust me that is NOT a good look. So for pencil I use Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil. My favorite color is Perversion, their black.

For liquid I have a few that I like, but my #1 is L'Oreal Telescopic Precision Liquid Eyeliner. It's inexpensive and it has a very black pigment that stays put.

My favorite cream liner (which is my favorite to wear when going out) I from MAC. I just love their cream liner. M.A.C. Fluidline Cream Liner is the best!

Eyeshadow:
This is one where I have about a zillion and fifty one favorites, but I'll talk about three. 1, M.A.C. GREAT color pay out. Stays on my eye, I use the colors Cork(brown), Shroom(matches my light skin tone) and Typographic (black) from them the most. I have many of their shades, but these are the ones that get the most love.
Chanel Ombre Essentielle is my other most favorite eyeshadow. The one I use the most is Fauve. It's a great color.

This next one is a cream stick eyeshadow that I love. Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour. I use the color Amethyst.
I will put on this product then layer the Chanel eyeshadow on top of it to get it some depth of color. They go great together.

Now lets talk about some wild colors that I have and LOVE. These are loose shadows with a lot of glitter and a lot of color. The girls use them a lot for cheer, but I use them for the pops of color and shine. They are so fun, and the lady who makes them is fun. You have to have an open mind when reading her blog, but she is a free spirit and she is fun! Sugarpill Cosmetics Loose Shadow. I have all the loose colors, pick one or more and have fun!

Blush:
I love two. A M.A.C version that was in a special collection that is a baked blush and it's discontinued so we will let it alone, but my second favorite is from Clinique again. Blushing Blush Powder Blush. I also like a Chanel Blush, but I can find it to tell you about it. So Clinique wins.
I hope this was helpful to you and if you have any products you'd like to tell me about PLEASE do, I want to hear what you have to say.
