Um, is this thing on....

Well Hello! It's been what, five years. Wow how has it been five years?!? Time really does move faster as you age. So lets see five years ago I have an eight year old, a six year and a two year old. Today I have a thirteen year old an eleven year old and a seven year old. WOW!! Yes, can you even believe it. They are in Eight grade, sixth grade and second grade. Also five years ago I was still a stay at home mom, but today I'm back to work as an accountant at the corporate headquarters of one of the major hospitals here in Memphis. We decided about 3 years ago to move our daughters from public school to a private school and have been so happy with our decision! That was the reason for me to go back to work after being home for almost 11 years. I've been back to work for the last three years, so it's kinda to blame for my lack of blogging, ha! It's been nice to be back in the workforce earning money (that goes directly to my kids school) but it's also been the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. It's been a very emotional and hard adjustment for me. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to not be completely accessible to my daughters all the time. But we are adjusting and life is moving right along.

Some things that are going on with the my family are My husband has gone back to school to get his executive MBA and wow, that has been so much work for him! It's taken up so much of our lives for the last year and a half! I'll be so happy to see him graduate in December. On top of going back to school he accepted a position within his company that promoted him to a Director but with the promotion he has to travel all the time. Like ALL. THE. TIME! It's been so hard on him, but he is such a trooper about it all. He always tries to be home for the girls games and important things at school. He is such a great dad! My girls are really blessed to have him. I'm so extremely proud of his dedication to us and his desire to better himself for his family. He is amazing!

The girls changed schools, we discussed above, but they have been so happy and we feel we have found a home within their school. They go to the Catholic Parish school that we are church members of and it has been amazing for our whole family. I feel the girls have made some forever friends at this school as well as for my husband and for myself.

Georgia the (ahem) baby is in her third year at soccer with her school and LOVING it!! She was asking all summer when it was going to start. That is her favorite sport at the moment. The big girls are cheering for their school football team and they are really enjoying it.

I officially have teenagers in my house. Wow, if you think it's hard with little ones, just wait. No not really, but they are challenge! Most days they stay in their rooms on their phones or are with their friends either at my house (hiding in their rooms) or at their friends house (I'm sure hiding there as well.) I am really enjoying each stage of their life, it's so much fun to watch them grow and become mature.

All in all life has been so good to me and I am thankful everyday for my family!
