Sassy!

Ok, what the heck. My 4 year old sweet little baby girl tells me every morning she want's to be a teenager. WTF, is all I can muster to this comment. Not out loud to her, but in my head. What the heck is happening here??? This is really sad to me, and and lets not even get into what the 6 year old is wanting. Seriously! I don't know if any of you watch "Whatever Martha" on the FLN? I TiVo it, and was watching a few last night. Martha (Goddess of all things crafty Stewart) was making a table setting for a Barbie Party. Well Jennifer was saying that OMG yes it was so cute for a 3 year old, but her 8 year old would hate it. She wants things all glitter and trashy. Oh and how true that is. It's sad. I look at the clothes and thing Wow, your kidding right. These stupid half sleeve/glove things that come with the Hannah Montana shirts. What the heck is that junk?? Sequins belt/tie things, ugh, it's enough to make me want to move to a religious compound and make them wear Modest Swimwear (no offense to anyone out there that would be reading this and wears said swim suite).

On to Whatever Martha. If you don't watch this show you really really need to. Alexis Stewart and her friend Jennifer Koppelman Hutt sit and watch old Martha Stewart clips and totally rip it and Martha herself apart. It's so flipping funny. Sometimes I think to myself "what planet do you people live on", because of stuff like Alexis doesn't blow dry her own hair?? HU!!! Jennifer is more normal, if you can say that about someone who had Run DMC and The Beastie Boys play at their Sweet 16. For the most though it's really funny to watch them.

I have a few goals for the day. Lets bet that I don't get them done. UGH. I need to do laundry, LOTS of laundry. I need to clean out my kitchen fridge and my laundry room fridge. A job I just love to do, that's why it gets done like ohhhh maybe once every 4 to 6 months. Yuck. I need to sweep and mop again, I'm really getting sleepy thinking about this. I may need to nap before so I have the energy to do it all. Hehe.

I'm going to leave you with some of my favorite music. Some new, some older.

My oldest daughter was named after this song. Lydia Elise. I LOVE The Cure!!!

Ok, this is Pink Floyd, and if you know them then you are ready for this one, if not you may want to skip it. I LOVE Pink Floyd. It comes from my childhood. My partents Total hippie lifestyle while I was younger. My dad still lives the life.

Again this another one from my childhood. ELO. I used to stare at the cover of the album cover as a kid.

I also like all the top 40 stuff too, but these are really some of my favorites. Music is and has always been really important in my life. I could keep going with favorites, like Bluegrass, old Southern Hymnal songs and on and on.

I love ELO and Floyd!

I don't enjoy shopping for the nieces near as much as I use to because I personally DON'T LIKE THE CLOTHES!

I just want to buy them classy, wholesome, interchangeable clothing that looks good and can be worn anywhere...not much luck finding it this year. It was that printed crap with glitter all over it...cheap and tacky looking.
