What have you been up to?

I have been doing lots of cleaning and cooking. My only New Year's resolution we to be a more productive person all around. Not that I'm not awesome now, but a little scatter brained and messy. So really it's to say focused and not be so messy. So far so good. I'm really surprised how easy it is to do as long as I keep on the mess. I know something I should of realized about 15 years ago. Oh well.

As far as cooking goes, boy oh boy have I done a ton of that. My latest I made were homemade Broccoli and cheese soup. It was so good. I made that yesterday for lunch. It was a day that called for it. It was rainy and COLD yesterday. I made homemade turkey (leftover) pot pie. I had a lot of food left over from the holidays so I froze it all and am slowly using it up in other recipes. I used leftover broccoli in my soup from all the veggie trays here over the holidays.

I'm working on my menu for the next upcoming week and would LOVE to have the Thai Peanut noodle recipe, I'm so with your son on this one (Kira). YUM! I had it saved on my computer somewhere and have lost it, again. Sorry. That's another goal of mine is to keep us out of restaurants as much as possible. I don't go to eat because the food is better than the food I make at home, not at all. But because some days I'm lazy and just don't want to cook and clean up after a meal. But now that we are a family of 5 it's just was too expensive for us to go out as a family. Even fast food costs us an arm and a leg. So in the long run it will be better for us health wise and budget wise.

Yesterday was Georgia's 15mo check up. Everything is good with her, other than she's a lazy bum and won't walk. She is still tiny at right under 17lbs and is short at right under 28inches. But she is growing according to Georgia. She is doing well as far as growth charts are concerned. She will be a little bity thing like her sisters and that's ok. She is chatting up a storm and it's so funny so see her evolve.

Awwww....I can't believe Georgia and Charlie are getting so big already! :( If only I could convince my husband to have just one more.
I am so with you on the not eating out....it is convenient, but man....feeding all 5 of us is expensive!
I will email you the thai chicken and sesame noodle recipe, as well as a great fish recipe I got out of the Rachael Ray magazine...everyone loved it (even Karl, who hates Tilapia - or so he says).
Happy New year!

Oh - and I forgot to say what a peanut Georgia is! At his 15 month checkup Charlie weighed almost 25 lbs! He is short and stocky...we call him a little bull in a china shop! :)
