Ummm, now what?

Well now I don't know what to say?? I'll start with things about me and my life. I am a mom to 3 girls, ages 6, 4 and 6mo. I am a happy wife to husband for 13 years now. Before I was mommy I was Admin assistant for the criminal court system here in Memphis. I really liked that job, but mommy is way better, the crimes are not as harsh here in Mommy land. My oldest is in kindergarten in a public school, I know, shame, whatever. My other two stay home with me, all the time, no pre-k, no mothers day out. I know what your thinking, I must be a super mom. I don't know how I do it either. I mean me, ME, teaching my own children, what a chore (insert rolling eyes). My husband works from home and boy is that great, take that how you will. I love love love crafts!!! Seriously people I have not met one that I was like "Hmmm, well that just doesn't suite me". Nope love em all. I like to read and I like my computer.

I have a few really great friends that keep me going day to day, well Saturday to Saturday, that's mommy's night with her friends at the grown up place where little girls can't go. Oh and the beer in this picture was a Rouge HazelNut Brown Nectar, it was yummy. With it I had spinach artichoke dip, peppered salami, smoked Gouda, brie, Gruyere, walnuts and tapenade on toast points, YUM! Split 4 ways, I'm not that hungry.

I started this blog to let anyone out there in Internet land see what I'm up to. All my little crafty things and my cooking projects. All the fun foods I try and cool beer's during mommy hour. Also to share all my funny daily things. I think I have a pretty funny life, come on I have 3 daughters, that's a hoot in it's self!

So lets see, I am working on a "quilt" and I use that term loosely, I don't want to make any serious quilters out there angry. I cut some 6 by 6 squares and am sewing them together. They are fleece squares that are left over remnants of other things I have sewed. I hope to have that done soon. I'm also trying to make my 1st smocked bishop, wow that's scary! I have it cut and the lace on the sleeve. I just don't know if I should serge it or do a french seam?? What to do what to do??? If there are any smockers out there please help me!! I am also working on a shirt for me, ugh!! I wanted something light and airy so I chose Simplicity pattern 2970 and for fabric selection I chose a jersey. What have I done??? I hate that fabric. I took me twice as long to cut that junk than a regular cotton. But once finished I'm sure it will be pretty.

Well phooey!! My crazy computer isn't letting me get to my pictures to post them as of right now. Well other than the beer photo, I guess it's trying to tell me something?? So this post is
to be continued.....

Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment...it's always nice to *meet* new bloggers!! I thought I'd comment on your bishop dress dilemma. I personally sew the sleeves in with a regular seam and then trim it before running through the pleater. Then on the side seams I do french seams. Either way is fine though....and you just have to decide which you prefer. Good luck. I hope you post pictures of it!!!
