What now

The scene my kitchen. The charters my children. Lydia was messing with the calendar on our fridge. She knocked a magnet off and it broke. Now if you knew my child this is NO surprise that something got broken. She is her father's daughter after all. So anywho, it broke into 4 pieces and Claire comes running in.

Claire "OHHHHHH Lydia what did you break".
Me "She broke a magnet".
Lydia "I'M SORRY, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE MAGNETS ON THE FRIDGE ANYWAY!!!!!!"
Clarie "What kind of Magnet"
Me "It was the cross magnet that Mrs. Michelle got me"
Lydia "I'M SORRY!"
Clarie "OHHHHHH Lydia did you know Jesus dies on the cross, and you breaked it!!!"
Lydia "Awwwww (tears) Claire DON'T EVER SPEAK TO ME AGAIN TOMORROW EVER EVER TOMORROW!!!!"
Claire "Whatever Lydia. Mommy do you think God is mad at Lydia"
Me "No Clarie he's not mad, God teaches us to forgive. I'm sure he's already over it that Lydia broke a magnet from the dollar tree"

There's always some mini drama at my house.

Slowing things down

Well last week was a blur! I have about a week before it starts all over again. And boy do I have the laundry to prove it. I'm also back on watching my calorie intake. I hate that I have to do this but I do. I do not come from people that can eat whatever and stay svelte. I get a little obsessed over watching what I eat too. I keep a log on excel to track it for me. I told you, I'm a smidge crazy.

Today it's gray outside. It looks like it might rain. It is cooler today too. Which is good with me. I love cooler weather. Speaking of cooler, I have NO clue what I'm going to do for my kids Halloween costume. Lydia wants to be a glow in the dark skeleton, Claire wants to be a mermaid (no prob, the costume that was hand sewn last year that she wouldn't wear) and I am clue less about Georgia. Any suggestions would be helpful! I think for Lydia I'm going to get a black full body leotard and paint it with paint them go over it with glow in the dark paint, slick her hair back and paint her face with face paint. Again Claire, easy, my mom spent a long time last year hand sewing mermaid costumes for them and Clarie refused to wear her's she want to wear Lydia's old witch costume. No issues, she's done. For Georgia I have to have something that won't make her hot since it's warmer here on Halloween. I was thinking a tiny Sugar Plum Fairy or a butterfly or even a Lady Bug. A Lady Bug with be easy for her. She doesn't walk, so it would just have to look cute in her stroller.

Anyway have a great day and help me think.

Cool!

If you have a child in your house that is infant to around 7-8 years old you have to get the book Gallop! I have said it before and I'll say it again, it's a COOL book!! We went to the book fair today to see what they had. I let the older girls pick out their books, I picked this up for Georgia. Bad Kitty is also a funny book, it had Lydia in stitches! I plan to get her the others that go in this series, it really was a funny book. Oh and if you do a Google on Gallop you may get something you were not looking for in less a Lawyer in Philadelphia, I'm just saying.

Laundry and a Jogging Stroller, woohoo!

Where does it all come from?? Why am I still washing 3T clothing when NONE of my children can wear a 3T? Why does it take me 2 washes to get the dark clothes out of the washer?? I seem to have an issue with getting dark stuff out of the washer, I know it's because ALL of my husbands shirts have to be hung dry and I DO NOT like to do that. So they sit for 24-48 hours in the washer and are smelly when time to hang them. Oh don't judge me, like you have NEVER done the same thing! So from time to time (weekly) I get lazy.

So Saturday was our big neighborhood yard sale. I scored a double jogging stroller for 10 bucks!!! It had been crashed and was wobbly, and the seat was ripped. I stitched it up with heavy duty thread, reinforced it with some heavy duty repair cloth. Cleaned it, then took the wheels off and banged it out straight. W-D 40 all the moving parts now it's good as new. I feel so good about it!! My kids LOVE It.

It's so quiet in my house today. My older kids are in school. My husband is at a seminar down town and my baby is napping. I haven't been this alone in a while, it's crazy! So instead of doing that laundry like I should I'm blogging. Why is my house always dirty again??

Well Georgia must of heard my thoughts because I hear her up from her morning nap. We are off to Starbucks for some coffee and milk, yum.

TGIF!!!!

And boy do I mean that one!!! It's been a busy week! I have fallen into a nice groove and life isn't so stressful anymore. I really am enjoying being room mom. I got the best best thank you from some children in Lydia's class yesterday. I was up there helping with a PTA function so I stopped in her classroom to see if her teacher needed anything. As I was there talking to her teacher one little boy came up to me and just hugged on me for a good 3 minutes. Poor little soul put his arms around my waist and laid his head on my side and just stayed there for a good few minutes. When he walked away another little boy came up and did the same thing. No words, they just needed hugs. I really hope there children get as much love at home at my own children do.

Our school book fair starts this week. I helped set up yesterday. I LOVE books!!! I have always loved books. It really takes me back to my own school days, it was always so much fun to see all the books. I lived in the COUNTRY, so the closest I had come to a book store was the selection at Wal Mart. So to see all those new books set up in our school was so cool to me as a kid. They have some really cool books out there. Lydia is into the Fancy Nancy stuff right now, so she loves those books. There is a book call Gallop that I'm going to get for Georgia, and I'm going to let Claire get whatever she wants, I'm sure it will be Barbie something. There are also several good adult books that I would like to have and a GREAT selection of cookbooks. I have a sickness for cookbooks. I can't turn a cookbook down, even if it's bad.

I think my parents are going to be here tomorrow night, fingers crossed because i told my girls already. Tomorrow is also the biggest yard sale in our city and WOOHOO it's in my neighborhood. Not so woohoo! My neighborhood and the even bigger one right next to me are involved. It's so crazy here for this one day. It's huge and so hard to go anywhere if you need anything. People that don't live here really act like butt holes. They drive like butt holes, drive on our nice medians that we pay to keep done and they liter and are just all in all jerky! They set up food vendors through the neighborhoods and it's just chaos for the people that live here. Here's hoping I find some good stuff!!!

So I'm off to play trouble with my Clarie then grocery shop. 1st stop Target to get a Starbucks and toilet paper, hummmm, did I mean to put those two things together??? Anyway I'm so happy that the Pumpkin spice latte is back!! In Maryland the grocery store I shopped at had a Starbucks in the store that so was awesome!!!

The devil I tell ya!

That's what my husband is!! I'm trying to watch what I eat and what does the jerk bring into my house?? Chick fil A chicken tenders. I'm sitting here with my grilled chicken and salad and he's enjoying fried chicken!! Oh well, will power is not his strong point when it comes to food. But still, I love chick fil a and it smelled so good!!!

You know those nights that you have a function at your house and your playing the jazz, house is clean and smelling good. That's my house tonight!! Oh yes, the girls had a friend over after gymnastics and they were busy outside playing and mommy was busy inside making our house look pretty!!! I love my house and love it even more when it's clean. So tonight I go to bed with clean sheets and clean floors, yes! Goodnight all, I'm pooped.

Howdy!

I have greasy hair today and two PTA meeting to attend. I overslept, GREAT!!! Claire got bumped to the advanced class in gymnastics cuz she's a SupaStar!! No really we have working really hard at the gym and at home. That little kid is STRONG! Lydia is doing great in school and keeping me busy, yay! Georgia will be 1 in 3 weeks, seriously where did the year go?? If you find it please let me know, I'm sure I did some things I wasn't proud of and would like a re-do. Oh and if any of you out there in cyber world comes across a Nastia Lunkin poster please let me know. Claire REALLY REALLY wants one. In the true fashion of a 4 1/2 year old I have only heard this about 60 bazillion times in the last 2 days. UGH alright kid I'm on it cuz I live to serve you!! Have a good one, off to wash my yucky hair!

Coming up for air

Husband has been out of town for 2 weeks for business. He got home today, whoohoo!! Thank the god lord! So I hope to find time to blog soon. Man being room mom, on the PTA for Lydia, running Claire to and from pre-school, catechisum for the girls, gymnastics for both girls and having an 11 month old plus laundry, house, dinners and all the jazz had me going nuts!! Even if he doesn't do much, he's still here.

Is it really Wednesday??

Wow, this week is moving, whoohoo! Looking forward to Friday. My husband is in D.C. for the week at his office and he comes home on Friday and I already can't wait and he only left his am.

Today Lydia went to the Allergist to find out why she is sick all the time. We got some answers and some hope. She was given the diagnose of Chronic sinus disease and acute asthma. He did a CT of her sinus and poor thing let me tell ya. Totally all the way not a bit clear! About 99% blocked on both sides. She also had blood taken to test for an immunity deficiency, because she does get sick so much and so easy. She spends about 3/4 of her life sick. So fingers crossed that we will find some answers and get her better. We go back in 6 weeks for another CT to see if things get better after her 6wks of treatment. Oh and she has NO allergies, woohoo!! We did the test on her back and nothing, so no shots!

This Sunday is the girls 1st Sunday of Religion classes, so lets hope that they love it. I know fat chance, but maybe?

One of my long lost talk to every month or so friends and I have decided to become each other's walking partners to help in the fight of fat. I'm so excited!!!

My parents were down for the weekend and got to do some good visiting with the kids. We took them to the Delta Fair and had fun. We got our share of carnie food and it was YUMMY!!! But what the heck man. One "Game" was giving away bunnies. Yes I said that right RABBITS!! What is this 1950? I felt SO bad for the poor little things, God only knows how they are cared for and what kind of home they would go to.

Speaking of Poor animals. I saw myself in my child today. Living in the suburbs you sometimes see things you wish you didn't. I have seen deer get stuck on very busy streets. Well today a poor dog was running down the sidewalk of a busy street to a even busier street. My child came undone. She cried so hard and begged me to stop and help the dog. Something I would of done as a child (even sometimes now). I have such a soft spot for animals, I would have 10 dogs if I could. She was so mad at me that I didn't stop to help she wouldn't talk to me. Poor kid, poor dog.

This week I have had Health Room duty for Lydia's school. Let me tell ya, yuck!! Pee pee pants and sick kids are NO fun!! I feel for the kids and most of them just want to go home. There was one poor kids who was really sick and his mom would not come get him, how sad! It was kinda funny to see the "Sick" kids come in and poof not so sick once mom would agree to come get them. Hehe. Little shysters. But hey I can't say I wasn't one of them once.
